Winning during awards season is always an incredible moment but there is nothing like that first award. This year, we're already seeing many famous faces get their firsties! Britney Spears received her first-ever People's Choice Award. At the Golden Globes, Matthew McConaughey had his first nomination and win for Best Actor in a Motion Picture. Amy Poehler also won her first Golden Globe for her role on "Parks and Recreation" and was so happy she stole a kiss from U2 frontman Bono before going onstage to accept!

There have also been plenty of award season surprises to keep things interesting. When it came to style shockers, Naya Rivera made jaws drop with a blonde hair debut at the People's Choice Awards. Then there was the controversy over Hayden Panettiere actually buying the Tom Ford dress she wore to the Golden Globes instead of being chosen or dressed by a designer as many celebs do. It also is unbelievable that Bryan Cranston's role on "Breaking Bad" has earned him five Golden Globe nominations and this year is when he finally won.

As major awards shows like the Grammys and Oscars approach, we're all wondering what the next shockers or big wins will be. Here are some predictions we can offer:

  • Grammys: Lorde will lord over the competition. She's a young newcomer with a lot of talent and her hit song "Royals" is current, trendy, and constantly played.
  • Oscars: There is sure to be an eclectic selection of nominations for the coveted Best Picture and the Director awards including "12 Years A Slave," "American Hustle" and "Gravity."
