Everyone knows that the Internet basically exists for people to watch cat videos and share funny pictures of their dogs, which means it doesn't surprise us that there are several cats and dogs that have amassed huge social media followings. Thousands, sometimes millions, of people clammer to see the latest cute photo or silly video from these pets on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Here are several pets tearing up social media that you should "like" and "follow" immediately. 

1. Cole and Marmalade

Cole and Marmalade, an adorable cat duo, are always up to something. Their owner, Chris, is constantly posting new videos of the boys, and several of his videos have gone viral. Currently, they have 54 million views on YouTube. Cole and Marm use their fame to raise awareness for Big Cat Rescue, cat cancer (of which Marmalade is a survivor), FIV and, of course, adoption.

2. Jiff

Jiff is an adorable Pomeranian whose outfits are always on point. Jiff is an extremely talented actor and model, who most famously appeared in Katy Perry's Dark Horse music video. He's also the Guinness World Records holder for the fastest dog to run 5 meters on its front paws and the fastest dog to run 10 meters on its hind legs.



3. Doug the Pug

Doug is the king of selfies, posing pretty much anywherefrom in front of the TV or his food to on top of a horse or with celebrities. He's definitely one cool cat...er, dog.

4. Lil Bub

Discovered as the runt of a feral litter in a tool shed in rural Indiana, Lil Bub was taken in as a rescue when it was made clear she would require special care. Since then, Bub has overcome adversity, become a published author, talk show host and movie star, and has helped raised over $300,000 for animals in need. What a special kitty!


5. Manny the Frenchie

Manny is an adorable French bulldog who uses his good looks to give back to charities in his home city of Chicago and around the country. He has a line of pet wear, and is the spokes-dog for several brands, including Southwest Airlines.
