Beyoncé reportedly did the hot lemon water detox diet and lost 20 pounds! While the typical time frame for the detox is 7-10 days, it could be extended up to 14.
While on this diet, you essentially drink the lemon water and nothing else. It's a serious fasting detox so before going on it, consider your current health and consult your doctor. Take this diet one day at a time since you aren’t eating any solid foods - just drinking.
What You'll Need
- 1 lemon. The lemon is what purifies your body! Lemons have endless health benefits.
- 2 tablespoons of pure organic maple syrup. Not only does it serve as a sweetener, it assists in detoxifying your body.
- A dash of cayenne pepper. Cayenne pepper speeds up your metabolism so it really adds a little kick to the diet, literally!
- Boil water and pour the hot water in a glass or mug.
- Slice up a lemon and squeeze the fresh lemon juice into the water and mix.
- More add your maple syrup.
- Finally, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Mix the drink together and enjoy!
