Bored with red nail polish? Tired of accent nails and French manis? Experiment with these hot new nail colors.

Soft Purple

Now that winter has faded,  I am so ready to ditch any moody, sombre colors. As much as I love black, there is a time and a place for it. This year, soft purples are a great nail color choice. They look great against floral patterns or other pastel hues. Pair with orchid eye shadow and a nude lip for a hot new look.

Peach-colored nail polish is a fabulously universal color as it goes well against so many skin tones. For lighter skin tones, pair with a bright orange or red lip-gloss. For medium to dark skin tones, try bronze shades for your face with a copper or gold gloss on your lips.

If you’re not ready to fully commit to a bright color, there are plenty of satiny neutrals to wear. This light brown shade from Essie is understated but very glamorous. It works great with any makeup and is appropriate for the office!

Still in love with the color of the year? You can stay on trend with marsala nail polish using this vegan, cruelty-free shade. Pair this with a light or dark-flanneled top and some denim for a casual yet upgraded look.

Bright Blues

Turquoise, oh beautiful turquoise. Makes me think of summer days by the beach and colorful drinks to sip on. It's a beautiful burst of color for your nails and when paired with ultra glossy lips and long lashes, you'll have successfully broken through the winter barrier.

Dark Pink

If pastels or hot pinks are not for you, a warm shade of dark pink is a perfect alternative. Not too feminine, not too serious - this shade looks great with a purple lip color and simple black liner.

Put on the perfect shade of mint green to go along with a fresh, pastel look! Try wearing mint nails with an alternate light shade on your eyes, like nude or lavender. Pair with pastel lipstick for a truly modern look.

Fashion weeks have been full of nude, barely there nails. This very-understated tone from Zoya looks great for just a hint of color. Pair with minimal makeup and a bold lip color.

A darker nail color can be an unexpected but fun color for spring and summer, especially if you want to bring some balance to a brighter wardrobe. Navy blue, or even darker shades of blue, looks great paired with pastel or bright outfits.
